Wisconsin COVID-2019 Dashboard Animation
After some effort, I finally came up with a dashboard for the JHU COVID-2019 data that I liked. It is on my prolific-learning.com channel on Youtube. Link to Animation. I used Mathematica to create the various graphic elements and used IMovie to combine some still images into the animation.
After looking at the data, one of the more interesting insights involves location and population density. The data shows clear cut disparity between regions with significantly different population densities. This animation does not comment on the possible causes of this.
I’ll be adding more to this post later describing various aspects of what was done. Right now, I’m rather burned out from a marathon stretch of about 4 to 5 days of coding and analyzing things. In hindsight, I’m glad I kept improving it. I think this is could be the basis of some more work that covers larger geographical regions.
